New Venture fills gap left by J.W.Young takeover!
Former Assembly Manager of J W Young, Garry Mills, has formed The Mill Tackle Company to provide a personalised, rapid response reel repair and restoration service, specialising in Allcocks and J W Young centrepins.
Garry's intention is to serve a niche market, catering for ex-Young's customers and others who want reel repairs using top quality components.
Garry has now installed a range of specialist machinery and equipment and recently he attended an exhibition and collectors' fair at the Abbey Stadium in Redditch.
He was overwhelmed with enquiries and found himself taking orders on the day. Already The Mill Tackle Company can boast satisfied customers, and Garry is working hard to keep up with demand.
Said Garry "I was disappointed when I learned of the J W Young takeover and believed customers would be equally concerned. I have been in this industry all my working life and have many friends in the business. When it became clear that there was a demand for an 'old-fashioned', high quality personal service, I knew that there was an opportunity for me to create a business allowing me to remain in the industry which I feel passionate about. I am very excited about the potential for The Mill Tackle Company and look forward to working with old friends and new customers."
